Frank van Hemert was born in 1956 in Kerkrade-NL and studied at the TeHaTex in Tilburg and visited the studios of 63 in Haarlem. In the early 80s he was discovered as a young talent and received by Rudi Fuchs invited to Documenta 7 in Kassel. His works are in numerous museums such as the Singer Museum in Laren, Gustav Lübcke Museum in Hamm, Siegerlandmuseum in Siegen, Teylers Museum in Haarlem, Bommel van Dam Museum in Venlo, Haags Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam or the Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht. In addition, his works are included in a number private and public collections and has been in exhibitions: shown in Boston, Hong Kong or London. The versatility of his work, both on canvas and on paper, speaks of many comprehensive series on the big issues of life such as death, suffering and isolation, love, eroticism, and the question of how and why their own identity. Frank van Hemert profits from the non-representational and figurative expression. In some images, the figurative allusions are so strong that the balance between characters and basic threat break. About capturing the radiance of his characters, he looks for a physically tangible force that he seeks to emphasize by painterly means.

Real and Abstract presented by
Daniel Beer “Figurative Energy and Emotions” – Igor Skaletsky “Russian Interpretation”
8.2. – 20.3.2014 Mi – Fr 15-19, Sa – So 12-15 Uhr
Contemporary Art presented by
Daniel Beer (born 1972) studied painting at the Akademie der Künste in Mainz, Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Dresden and the Universität der Künste in Berlin. In his series “Infinite Action”, the artist displays powerful compositions which describes the figure and covers it at the same time, until a presentiment of the body becomes visible. The figurative energy – Beer has intensively studied contemporary dance and ballet – attracts the observer with a kind of inner illumination. Beer’s portraits, however, increasingly convey emotions and reflect his own vision of the person represented in the image. They are elevated by the contrast with the dark background and thereby reach an intrinsic, merely tangible dimension. In his latest works, Daniel Beer expands the classical notion of the portrait and chooses not only humans as counterparts of his observations.
Igor Skaletsky was born 1978 in Moscow and immigrated to israel. he studied paining at the Surikov art institute in Moscow. in his works igor Skaletsky freely manipulates the recognizable images of art history and high culture, and ironically unites them. His collages send us back to patterns of our perception and at the same time destroy them. Our visual habits, this secret passage to the unconscious, become juggling toys in his hands. the spectator lives through his images as if through the shock of unexpected discovery of a familiar story.
Guido Argentini was born in Florence, Italy. He has been living in Los Angeles Since 1990. He is represented by reputable galleries around the world. His work has been showed at the best Art Fair and auctioned at Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips.
Joseph Klibansky was born in Cape Town. He makes large-scale, idealistic digital paintings that are built up through hundreds of layers of photography enriched with acrylic paint on archival cotton paper overlaid with a liquid resin. His well established and unique work is shown globally.
Koh San Woo is Korean and lives in New York. His work involves all genres of art, and is completed through videos and performance, not to mention photography. Koh’s explosive energy and creativity are too dynamic to be able to narrowly define his work within any one specific genre. His work is shown also in museums.
Bjoern Thomas is a contemporary photographer from Germany. He creates stimulating environments of people from all walks of life, presenting situations both real and fantastical in order to explore the complexities of human experience through an artistic and honest lens. His pictures are shown in New York, Shanghai, Miami and other art capitals.
