Igor Skaletsky was born 1978 in Moscow and immigrated to Israel. He studied paining at the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow. In his works Igor Skaletsky freely manipulates the recognizable images of art history and high culture, and ironically unites them. His collages send us back to patterns of our perception and at the same time destroy them.

Our visual habits, this secret passage to the unconscious, become juggling toys in his hands. The spectator lives through his images as if through the shock of unexpected discovery of a familiar story.
